Al Waasi'

Wusʿ is width, capacity, room — the same word the Qur’an uses when it says that no soul is burdened beyond what it has room for. The root measures space rather than strength: not how much you can bear, but how much space there is inside the thing.

The definite form is not written in the text; the name comes down in the list. The word appears without its article, and the sentence it usually sits in is wāsiʿun ʿalīm — roomy, and knowing — turning up after promises of provision and after warnings not to be afraid of running out. Whatever there is not enough of today, room is not the thing that runs out.
