Al Mu'eed

ʿĀda is to come back — the root that gives ʿīd its name, a day that returns, which is the word Isa uses when he asks for a table from heaven that will be a festival for his people.

Al-Muʿīd is the twin of al-Mubdiʾ, and like it this written form is not in the Qur’anic text; the verb they both come from is. A beginning that can come round again is a different mercy from one that happens only once. Most of what we call starting over is really this word.
