Al Mu'min

One root gives three words at once: amn, safety; amāna, a trust placed in someone’s hands; and īmān, belief. Arabic hears believing as a kind of entrusting, and al-Muʾmin is read as the one who gives security — the same letters as the amān a frightened person asks for.
